Update: There has been a lot of scary reports in the news lately about lead paint in children’s products. It is scary to hear about recalls from strong brands that we’ve all come to trust. We’d like to assure our customers that we have had independent laboratory tests done on our product to insure that they are lead-free. We will also continue to have our product tested as we make shipments to insure that this holds true.

We insisted that our product be tested by a trusted testing facility. The tests completed on our product insure that it complies with ASTM standards (American Society for Testing and Materials):
Test for lead (and other heavy metals) in the paint/clip
Mechanical test to insure that they do not fall apart under normal use
Flammability test to insure exposure to flame would not result in a quick burn
Colorfast tests to insure that the coloring of the cord does not come off (even with exposure to saliva, perspiration, or water)
